Every writer needs a home on the internet. A place that is entirely theirs — no algorithm deciding who sees it, no character limit, no timeline pushing it out of view in forty-eight hours.
I had one once. TheXpositions was where I started — a twenty-year-old medical student with opinions about Nigeria, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and the general chaos of being alive. I asked my readers to comment "pleassssee" with five s's because their words genuinely made me want to be better. Some of them did. And it worked.
Then life happened. Medicine happened. I got quieter, the way people do when the days get full and writing starts to feel like a luxury rather than a need. But writing was never a luxury. It was always how I made sense of things.
So here I am again.
This blog — salliejunaid.com — is the new home. The same voice, a little older, hopefully a little wiser. I will write about medicine, because that is the world I live in. I will write about life, because that is the world we all live in. And I will write about the things that sit quietly in me until I find the words to let them out.
I am using this medium to lend my voice to the world and hope it touches lives in a positive way. That hasn't changed.
